Table of Contents
You and your team can run your day-to-day operations from anywhere with our iOS and Android mobile apps. Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
To view client information within the Jobber app you will first start by selecting the Search tab in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. You will see a list of the clients that have scheduled work for the current date. To view any other clients you will need to use the search box at the top and tap onto the magnifying glass to complete your search.
Adding a client in the app
There are multiple places in the app to create a new client, mainly through the quick create menu or any screen where you are adding a client to some work wether that's to a request, quote, job, or invoice.
To create a client form the quick create menu, click the + icon in the bottom right corner of the app and from the menu tap client. This will open the New Client page. This page is what you would also see if you were creating a job and had selected to add a new client rather than creating a client from the quick create menu.
If you have a client who is in your phone contacts that you'd like to add in Jobber, you can tap Add From Contacts. Note: Adding a client from your contacts does not bring over their address so you will still need to enter the address manually.
To add information to this client, in each section you can tap to expand the fields to:
- Add company name
- Add phone number
- Add email
- Add additional info (this section is for client custom fields)
The property address field shows by default since you will likely need to add a property address when creating a new client.
Clients created in the app will have text messages enabled by default, but if a client would prefer to not receive text messages this can be turned off by sliding the toggle for Receives Text Messages to OFF. This setting can also be edited in the future if the client's preference changes. Enabling text messages, allows you to send "On My Way" Text Messages or text invoices and quotes from the app.
Tap Main to update the label for the phone number. The label differentiates what kind of phone number this is which can be handy when a client has multiple phone numbers. Options include main, work, mobile, home, fax, and other.
In the additional Information section, you will see custom fields that have been setup for clients.
If you keep scrolling down, you will see the property details. This is where you can enter their property's address and if there are any property custom fields, you can fill those out as well.
If the billing address is the same as the property address, toggle Billing address matches property address to ON. Otherwise, toggling this off will prompt you to enter the billing address for this client.
Tap Add Additional Property Information to select one of your existing tax rates for this property and fill our property level custom fields.
Client overview and tabs
Once the client is created, you will see an overview of the client. Starting from the top of the screen you'll see their account balance, name, followed by the address of the first property added for this client. There are two icons, if you tap the phone icon the app will place a call to that client. The map pin icon will open up directions through either Google Maps or Apple Maps depending on which app you have on your phone.
In order to track which people have had work done, the label for "lead" will appear until one of these actions are taken:
- A job is created for them
- An invoice is sent to them
- Their quote is approved
Next on the client overview page, you have a series of tabs.
When you select a client to view, the first tab on their page is the Info tab. This will list the basic information for this client, including contact information, property addresses, billing address, and any other additional information you have stored on this client within your Jobber account. You can also add any additional properties for this client if needed from this tab.
The Requests tab will show all requests that have been submitted by this client through the client hub, or internally by yourself or other users on the account.
By default we show all requests, however you can choose to view a specific status by using the drop down menu. You can also create a New Request from the inbox icon at the top of this tab.

To create a New Job click onto the hammer icon at the top of the tab. Click into a job to view its details, schedule or reschedule a visit, etc.
The Billing tab is where you can see any invoices or payments associated with this client. This area can be sorted to view only specific information.
When viewing invoices you can sort by status, this includes: All, Past Due, Awaiting Payment, Draft, Paid and Bad Debt. If you select to view Payments, it will list all payments recorded for this client.
The Notes tab will list any internal notes added to this client. It will list the date and time the note was added, and include a picture of the user who added it.
You can also create client notes directly from this area by tapping the + New Note option. You will be able to type in a note, or choose to attach a photo by using your device's camera or by choosing from the photos you've already captured.
