Custom Fields on Create Pages
Custom fields are available on the Core, Connect, and Unlimited plans.
Custom fields allow you to record additional information in Jobber, unique to your business. You can create custom fields on clients, properties, quotes, jobs, invoices, and team. The custom field will show up on all the items in your account. For example, you could make a custom field on clients called "Referred By". Then in the edit screen of every client in your account, this field would appear and could be filled out.
To add a custom field from the Edit page of an item. For example if you were adding the field to invoices, go to an invoice and click Actions > Edit. On the Edit page, click 'Add a Custom Field' on the right.
In the box that pops up, you can make the custom field. You can give the field a name, select the value type, and decide if there is a default answer. For value types, you can choose from:
- True/False - this makes a check box field
- Numeric - this make a field that will only accept numbers
- Area - this makes a field where you can enter the length and width of something
- Select - this creates a field where you can enter in options to make a drop-down menu
- Text - this creates a field that will accept text
Click Create Custom Field to save it.
After you have made the custom field, you can enter information into it for the particular item you are on. Learn more about Custom Fields from the Settings Menu.
