Overview
Stay on top of your business with Jobber insights.
Think of insights as a consultant who ready to help your business grow and pinpoint opportunities for improvement. Insights, which are found on Home, are updated regularly and surface relevant information to your business that you can take action on. They also reveal blind spots in your business that may otherwise fall under your radar, such as jobs ending soon or double bookings.
Insights draw your attention to information about your business that may help you make more informed decisions. The insights that you are shown vary based on the state of your Jobber account to reflect what is relevant and timely to you.
Insights (as well as the rest of Home) are only available to admin users. Insights are only available on jobber.com, not in the Jobber App.
View/hide insights
The insights section is open by default on Home when there are new insights to show. When there are no new insights, the section will be collapsed. If you want to collapse insights to enlarge the rest of Home, click the X in the top right corner of the insights section, or the Hide Insights primary action button.
Once collapsed, open the insights section by clicking the primary action button for View Insights.
Insights
The insights that are shown vary based on the state of your account. Each insight shows a list with a maximum of five items, clicking the button to View in each section shows a full list of items.
These are the possible insights that might appear if they are relevant to you:
Projected revenue
This is a seven day projection of revenue based on the dollar amount of scheduled visits, including visits for both one-off and recurring jobs. Click View Schedule to see the scheduled visits that the revenue calculation is based on.
Note: If a one-off job has more than one visit or a visit that spans multiple days, the revenue is attributed to the final visit or day of the job. Visits for jobs with fixed price billing are not included in this projection since the revenue for these jobs is not always attributed to individual visits. This is the same calculation as the daily revenue tracker.
Overdue items
This card highlights the number of overdue scheduled appointments in the last year. Click View Calendar to view the list view of the schedule. From the schedule, set the filter of the list to overdue to see which items need your action.
Jobs ending soon
This card calls your attention to recurring jobs with their scheduled end date approaching within the next 30 days. This card helps you keep tabs on your ending contracts so that a jobs duration can be extended if that's what's right for the client. Click View Jobs to view a list of recurring jobs ending within 30 jobs from the jobs page. Here you can go through the list and make decisions about if these jobs should be extended.
Double bookings
This is a dynamic list of your employees that have been double-booked in the coming seven days. Since your employees likely can't be in two places at once, you might need to make some adjustments. Click View Schedule to view the day view of the schedule filtered by the first day of the double booking and make adjustments to the double-booked employees.
Client balances
A list of the five clients that have the highest balance owing. This card shows both the client name and their balance owing, so that you can follow-up with that client or double check that their payments have all been entered correctly. Click View Report to view the client balance summary report to see the full list of clients that have outstanding balances.
Re-engage clients
This card encourages you to re-engage with clients who haven't had a closed job in the last 12 months. Click View Schedule to view the client re-engagement report which includes details like their phone number, email address, and billing address that you can use to contact them for more work.
Out-of-date QuickBooks sync
This card appears when it has been more than 14 days since a sync with QuickBooks Online was last run when you have the integration set up. Click Sync to QuickBooks Online to open the QuickBooks Sync and Settings page where the button to run a sync with QuickBooks appears. Click Sync to QuickBooks to run a sync.
Turn on QuickBooks sync
When getting started with Jobber, did you indicate that you're already using QuickBooks but haven't set up the Jobber and QuickBooks integration yet? If so, this insight will remind you to set up the integration (available on select plans) within your first 30 days with Jobber. Click Lean more to view the setup page to connect your QuickBooks Online account.
