Overview
You can customize calendar colors on your schedule in Jobber.com to keep your calendar organized and easy to understand at a glance.
Use colors to highlight tasks assigned to specific team members or those containing certain keywords in the title, making it simple to spot important details quickly. Calendar colors show up in the Month, Week, and Day views of the calendar.
Note: Calendar colors are only available on Jobber.com and won't appear in the Jobber mobile app.
How calendar colors can be used
Calendar colors can be used in a couple ways:
- To a specific team member, so that colour appears on all jobs assigned to them in the calendar.
- To keywords within the item title. For example, an landscaper might assign one colour for mowing, another for mulching, and another for aerating.
The new schedule displays team member avatars, which you set up in each team member’s profile. This allows you to focus calendar colors based on keywords in the item title, if you prefer. Using this combination expands your visibility into what’s going on at a glance.
Assign a calendar color
To assign a calendar color:
- Click on the Schedule tab in the left hand menu.
- Click on the More button in the top right corner and select Schedule Settings in the dropdown menu.
- Navigate to the Calendar colors section and select the Assign a Color button.
From the Edit color pop up, you can choose whether to assign a colour to a team member or a keyword or phrase in the item title.
Assign a color to a team member
Under the Apply color section, select when assigned to from the left side dropdown menu. Then in the right side dropdown menu, select the applicable team member.
Assign to a keyword or phrase
In the left side dropdown menu, select when item title contains, then enter the keyword or phrase in the text field to the right of it.
The visit title is the title given to visits on the calendar. You can edit the template for visit titles by going to the Gear Icon then Settings then Work Settings. For example, you can make the client's city or their postal code show in the template, so it displays in the calendar.
Edit a calendar color
To edit a calendar color after you have assigned it, follow these steps:
- Select the Gear Icon, then select Settings.
- From the settings menu, select Schedule.
- Locate the Calendar colors section, then select one of the assigned colors.
From the list of calendar colors, select the color you wish to change. An edit screen will open where you can change the color as well as the assigned user or keyword.
Color order
Colors are prioritized from bottom to top in the list. You can rearrange the order by dragging colors using the 'drag' button next to each one. If a visit is assigned to multiple users with different colors, the calendar will display the color of the user who appears closest to the bottom of the list. Assigning avatars to team members’ profiles will make it easier to identify individual assignees to a visit and reserve calendar colours for keywords or phrases in the item title instead.
