Overview
Your team can clock in and out of jobs and track expenses from anywhere, so you can prep payroll faster.
Time tracking is available on select plans. View our current pricing plans.
To check what plan you're on, navigate to the Gear Icon > Account and Billing. If you have any questions about your plan's features or pricing, our support team is here to help!
Approving time sheets confirms a user's time sheets. If you are syncing timesheets with QuickBooks, when you approve time sheets they are flagged to sync to QuickBooks.
Approve time sheets
To approve timesheets navigate to Timesheets from the side navigation, then select Approve Time Sheets.
Here you will see time entries that have not yet been approved. To select which time entries to approve, drag the slider to approve timesheets up until a certain date. To select which team members you are approving time entries for, check the box next to their name.
Click Approve to approve your time sheet selections.
Modifying approved time sheets
Once time sheets have been approved, the user who logged the time can view them, but cannot edit them. A user who has permissions to "view, record, and edit everyone's" time sheets, or an admin user, can edit approved entries.
To edit approved time sheet hours, make sure you are viewing time sheets with the day view (not week). Navigate to the day with the timesheet entry you'd like to edit, then select the Modify Approved button to make changes. Then click Edit to change the start and end times and/or the duration.
Time sheet approval permissions
To approve time sheets, a user needs the custom permission to "View, record, and edit everyone's" time sheets, or be an admin user. Users who have "View and record their own" or "View, record, and edit their own" time sheets, cannot approve or modify approved time sheets.
To change a user's permissions, click the Gear Icon > Manage Team. Click on the user's name, then select Custom for their permissions. You can then update their time tracking and timesheets permission.
