Overview
Visits are the scheduled dates and times when you go to a client's property to perform a service. The visits report lists visits that fall within a specified date range. This report can be used to track details about each visit; whether that's to look back on which team members were assigned, look up a client's email to follow-up, or see the dollar value of each visit.
The visits report includes new columns that were not available on the visits report (legacy) including job custom fields and a new time tracked field.
To navigate to the visits report, select Reports from the side navigation, then select Visits under the Work reports heading.
To view the visits report, team members need to be admin users or have these user permissions:
- View full client and property info
- View all clients on their Jobber menu
- View all jobs
- Show pricing
- View reports
Totals in the visits report
At the top of the visit report are dollar value totals for:
- One-off jobs: This includes all one-off jobs that have a visit included in the date range. When there is more than one visit in the date range (and some visits for the job fall out of the date range), the one-off jobs total will show the total value of the one-off jobs (not just the visits in the date range).
- Recurring jobs: This includes recurring jobs with per visit billing. Recurring jobs with fixed price billing do not appear in the visit report total.
- Total: This is the sum of the one-off jobs total and recurring jobs total
These totals are responsive to the the filters that are applied to the visits report.
Filter the visits report
The data that falls into the visits report is determined by which visits fall into the report's date range. This can be selected using the Date range drop down.
To filter your report further, there are dropdown filter options for:
- Line items: Select from line items in your products and services list. If you are looking for a custom line item, it will appear in the line items column in the report, but won't be available from the dropdown as a filter.
- Completed: This includes All visits, as well as visits that Yes have been completed, or No haven't been completed.
- Assigned to: Select from your active team members. This dropdown does not include deactivated or deleted team members. Deactivated team members will still appear in the report, but are not a filter option.
Columns for the visits report
Columns in the visits report can be customized by selecting the Columns button, then selecting the columns for the report from the columns list.
The options for columns that can be added to the report are:
- Job #: This is the job number that the visit belongs to. This links to the job.
- Date: Start date of visit
- Visit title
- Client name
- Client email: This is the client's primary (starred) email address
- Client phone: This is the client's primary (starred) phone number
- Service street
- Service city
- Service state/province
- Service ZIP/postal code
- Visit completed: This will be yes or no, depending on if the visit has been marked complete
- Assigned to: Team members assigned to the visit
- Line items
- One-off job ($): This is the dollar value of the job divided by the number of scheduled visits
- Visit based ($): This is the dollar value of each visit for recurring jobs with per visit billing (not fixed price jobs)
- Scheduled duration: This is the duration of the visit as a decimal. This will look different than recorded timesheet entries as they are in HH:mm format. For example, a half hour would appear in the visits report as 0.5, whereas a timesheet entry would show 0:30
- Time tracked: Cumulative time recorded on this visit, displayed as HH:mm
- Job type: Is this a one-off or recurring job
- Custom fields: These are custom fields on the job the visit belongs to.
