Overview
As part of our work to help protect you from fraud and chargebacks, we automatically review credit card payments in the background. Sometimes our system will flag a transaction as suspicious or potentially fraudulent (ex. a payment from a stolen credit card). When this happens, we put the payment into a “pending” status to manually review it before it’s approved.
What is a review?
A review is a manual investigation of a payment after it’s been flagged by our automated tools. Reviews happen before a payment is finalized. The review process is here to make sure that you and your money are being protected from scams or bad actors. Most reviews can be completed in 1-2 business days without any involvement from you.
What should I do?
In most cases, nothing! If we require any follow-up from you, our team will let you know. If you have a payment flagged as high risk, we'll email you to let you know. We’ll also send an email to your client who made the payment to let them know if their payment has been declined as a result of the review.
