Overview
The Day view gives you a clear, hour-by-hour look at everything your team has scheduled for a single day. You can view it vertically or horizontally, depending on how you prefer to see your team’s time and availability. Both layouts show the same information, so you can switch to the orientation that feels easiest to scan.
Service providers use the Day view when they need to:
See each team member’s or route’s workload at a glance
Adjust the schedule quickly as plans change throughout the day
Reassign visits to balance capacity or respond to last-minute requests
Visualize travel time and reduce overlap or double booking
Track unassigned work that still needs a team member
Whether you are planning the day ahead or making real-time adjustments, the Day view helps you stay organized, avoid scheduling conflicts, and keep your team running smoothly, regardless of which layout you prefer.
Try the new schedule
This article covers Jobber's New Schedule functionality. The new schedule is available to try before it officially rolls out.
To enable the new schedule, follow these steps:
Select the Schedule tab from the side navigation.
From the schedule, select Explore the New Schedule and toggle on New Schedule.
Navigate the day view of the schedule
The day view displays a single day's schedule, making it easy to see each team member’s appointments, workload, and availability at a glance.
There are two ways to view the day view:
Vertical day view
The vertical day view is the default option for the day view. To switch to the vertical day view from the horizontal day view, select the More button, then select Shift day vertical.
The vertical day view view is organized in a timeline format, where each team member has a dedicated column in the schedule with their scheduled appointments listed below. Anytime visits appear at the top of the column of scheduled appointments on the vertical day view.
You can customize the view by adding or removing team members using the team filter.
To make quick adjustments on the vertical day view:
- To reassign appointments: Drag and drop appointments between team members to reassign them.
- To shorten or extend an appointment: Click and drag the edge of an appointment to extend or shorten its duration.
Horizontal day view
To view the day view horizontally, select the More button, then select Shift day horizontal.
The horizontal day view is set up with team member names and unassigned in a column along the left. The assignments for each team member are displayed horizontally with each appointment spanning the length of the appointment so you can see quickly who is booked, who's free, and what time windows are still available.
To view anytime appointments on the horizontal day view of the schedule, click the number in the "Anytime" column next to each team member's name to expand details about their anytime appointments on this date. Anytime appointments are appointments that have a scheduled date, but no scheduled start time... meaning they can be completed anytime during this date.
To make quick adjustments on the horizontal day view:
- To reassign appointments: Drag and drop appointments between team members to reassign them.
- To shorten or extend an appointment: Click and drag the edge of an appointment to extend or shorten its duration.

To view unscheduled tasks from the day view of the schedule, select the icon for Unscheduled appointments.
This will add a supplementary panel to the schedule that shows unscheduled appointments. The appointments can be drag and dropped on to the calendar to schedule them, or they can be updated by clicking the appointments and then selecting View Details.

Add a map and view GPS waypoints from the day view
To view a map with your daily appointments, select the icon for Map.
This will add a supplementary panel to the schedule that shows a map with your daily appointments represented as numbers that show the number of visits at that property this week.
Hover over the map pins to view the appointment details.
Unassigned appointments appear on the map with a red icon that shows a person icon with a line through it. This indicates the appointment hasn’t been assigned to a team member yet.
GPS waypoints also appear in the map on the day view of schedule when viewing today's date. GPS waypoints are recorded when a team member takes an action in the Jobber App while location services are enabled on their mobile device. These actions include:
