To do
This is a list of items that require your attention in order to move them to the next stage of your workflow.
When you first sign up for Jobber, there will be some items in your to-do list to help you get your account up and running including:
- Add your company logo. Learn more.
- Explore your personalized online client portal. Learn more.
The to-do items that may appear include:
- Review new requests: These are requests in "New" status. These requests have been submitted, but no action has been taken on them yet–such as scheduling an assessment, converting it to a quote or job, or archiving the request. Selecting this item from the to do list opens a list of your requests filtered by "New" so that you can review and action these requests.
- Assessments ready for quotes: These are requests where an assessment has been completed, but the request hasn't been converted into a quote or job, or archived if you aren't moving forward with the request. Selecting this item from the to do list opens a list of your requests filtered by "Assessment completed".
- Review changes requested (to quotes): These are quotes that have been sent to your client, but they have responded back requesting changes. These quotes need to be followed up on to review the changes the client has requested, then (if applicable) make the changes and send back to your client for approval. Selecting this item from the to do list will open a list of your quotes in the "changes requested" status so you can review these quotes and get back to the client about the change they're asking for.
- Schedule approved quotes: These are quotes that have been approved either by the client or internally. The next step is to convert these quotes to jobs. Selecting this item from the to do list will open a list of your quotes in "approved" status that you can go ahead and convert them into a job. Creating the job is where you'll set up a schedule for the quoted work.
- Review jobs needing action: These are jobs that are still open, but no longer have any upcoming visits. Selecting this item from the to do list will open a list of your jobs in "action required status". The action that is required here is to either close the job (if it's done), or schedule more visits (if there is still work to be done).
- Invoice completed jobs: These are jobs that have an active invoice reminder. Creating an invoice for this job will remove it from this status. Selecting this item from the to do list will open a list of your jobs in "requires invoicing status". The next step for these jobs is to generate invoices for them.
- Follow up on past due invoices: These invoices have an outstanding balance and their payment due date has passed. Selecting this item from the to do list will open a list of your invoices in "past due" status. You may wish to reach out to the client to follow up on their overdue payment, either manually or automatically with invoice follow-ups.
Today's appointments
Today's appointments breaks down your total appointments for the day, including visits, assessments, and tasks. Today's appointments can be displayed by visit or by employee.
From both the visit or employee views, there is a heading at the top of the today's appointments section of home that shows the dollar value of the day appointments, including:
- total appointments
- active appointments
- completed appointments
- overdue appointments
- remaining appointments
As your employees complete their work throughout the day, these dollar values will update as work moves from active to completed.
- For one-off jobs, the daily revenue is calculated by summing up the line items on the job. If a one-off job has more than one visit or a visit that spans multiple days, the revenue is attributed to the final visit or day of the job and the other visits don't show a dollar value in the revenue tracker.
- For recurring jobs, the daily revenue is based on the billing frequency for the job:
- For visit based billing, the line items for all the visits happening today are summed up.
- For fixed price billing, these jobs are not included in the daily revenue tracker since the revenue for these jobs is not always attributed to individual visits.
To switch between today's appointments views, select either Visit or Employee from the toggle.
Today's appointments by visit
From the Visits tab, today's appointments are organized by their status.
Below the heading, there is a breakdown of appointments in each category displaying the title and (if applicable) client name. For each appointment, you will see the profile picture of the assigned team members on the appointment. If one of the team members has a timer running for that visit, the time logged will appear next to their profile picture.
When a category has several appointments that can't all be displayed at once, the section can be expanded to view all appointments in that section.
Today's appointments by employee
From the Employee tab, under the heading, today's appointments are organized by the assigned team member.
Each employee's name will be a heading with their time for the day logged next to their name. When a timer is currently running, the clock icon will be moving.
When an employee has several appointments that can't all be displayed at once, their section can be expanded to view all appointments.
Client balances
Your clients with the three highest outstanding balances will appear in a "Client Balances" section of home, so you can know at a glance which clients may require follow-up with.
To view all clients who have outstanding balances, select View all to jump to the client balance summary report.
Payments
If you have Jobber Payments enabled, under the payments section of home you will see an overview that includes:
- Money on its way to your bank. Select View all upcoming payouts to open the Jobber Payments Payouts Report.
- Available funds for instant payouts. Select Get it now to initiate an instant payout.
If you have not yet set up Jobber Payments, in the Payments section you will see information about Jobber Payments. Select Enable Jobber Payments to start the signup process so that you can get paid faster by accepting online payments.
Business performance
The business performance section of home on Jobber.com is where you will find information about your expected revenue, including:
- Projected value of work over the next 7 days (including a trend compared to the previous 7 days). Select View jobs to open the jobs list where you can view your recent and upcoming visits and their projected revenue, as well as a list of all your jobs.
- Received payments in the past 7 days (including a trend compared to the previous 7 days). Select View report to open the transactions list report.
Today's appointments
Today's appointments breaks down your total appointments for the day by status of the appointment:
- Total: This is the number of appointments for the day (including tasks, visits, and assessments).
-
Overdue: An appointment is considered overdue when the end time of the appointment has passed, but it has yet to be completed.
- Note: an appointment being late does not reflect when a timer was started on the visit.
- Active: These are appointments where the current time of day falls within the scheduled appointment time.
-
Remaining: these are appointments that are yet to go, including anytime visits.
- Note: Since anytime visits don't have set start and end times, they will show as remaining until completed.
- Completed: These are appointments where a team member has marked the appointment as complete.
On each appointment for the day, the assigned team member's profile picture is displayed to indicate which users are assigned to each appointment.
