Overview

Custom Report Builder lets you describe the report you want in your own words, and Jobber AI builds it from your live Jobber data. There’s no exporting, no third-party tools, and no data leaving Jobber.

Custom Report Builder is available on the Plus and Unlimited plans. View our current pricing plans. To check what plan you’re on, navigate to the Gear Icon, then select Account and Billing. If you have any questions about your plan’s features or pricing, our support team is here to help.

Only Admins can create and access custom reports.

Where to find Custom Report Builder

Navigate to Insights, then select Custom Reports.

Create a new report

  1. From the Custom Reports page, select New Custom Report.
  2. Describe the report you want to the Jobber AI panel that opens, including what data to show, the date range, how to group it, and any filters or charts. For example: “Invoiced revenue by month for the last 6 months, with a bar chart and a total row.” You don’t need to set up any filters or formulas yourself.
  3. Wait while Jobber AI builds the report. You don’t need to do anything else while it works.
  4. Review the finished report that Jobber AI opens for you. New reports publish as Visible only to me by default.

Every report you build combines data from across jobs, clients, quotes, invoices, and timesheets in a single view.

Note: Jobber AI can make mistakes. Double-check your report data for accuracy.

There’s no limit to how many reports you can create. For large results, Jobber AI may paginate a table starting at 10 rows per page, up to 100 pages per report — ask it to include more records if you need them. If a report takes longer than 5 minutes to build, it times out and shows Failed to process request. Please try again.

Change an existing report

  1. From the report page, select Edit with Jobber AI.
  2. Describe the change you want, for example “add a column for job type” or “make it the last 12 months.”
  3. Review the draft preview Jobber AI creates.
  4. Select Publish to apply the change as a new version.

Manage report settings

Select the settings gear on any report to:

  • Rename the report
  • Edit its description
  • Change its visibility to Visible only to me or Visible to admins
  • Delete the report

If the Admin who created a report is removed from your account: a report set to Visible to admins stays fully visible and usable by every other Admin, since visibility is based on the Admin role, not on who created it. A report set to Visible only to me becomes orphaned. It stays in Jobber but no one can see or manage it, and there’s no automatic reassignment to a new owner.

Refresh a report

Select Refresh report on any report page to re-run it against your current Jobber data. A report shows the data as of when it last ran until you refresh it.
